London Night Bus

Duncan Borrowman, the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Old Bexley & Sidcup has welcomed changes to local night time bus services.

Existing service N21, will no longer serve Sidcup, but will instead run from Eltham to Bexley Village and then on to Bexleyheath along the 132 route. But Sidcup residents will get a quicker night time bus service, with route 321 becoming a 24 hour operation.

Duncan Borrowman says: "The N21 frequently turned round at Eltham and never came near to serving Bexley residents. The new N21 route will ensure that residents in Blackfen, Blendon and Bexley Village get a good night bus service, and Sidcup residents should be even better served by the new 24 hour 321 service."

TfL say the changes are "a second stage of consultation which is usually undertaken when we invite tender bids for new contracts. None of the routes are eligible for further contract extensions at this stage so new contracts will commence in Autumn 2009".
