Local Conservatives are distributing a leaflet taking the credit for Boris Johnson axing the Thames Gateway Bridge.

But, what they don't mention is that it was Bexley Conservative councillors who pushed a motion through the Council on 17 July 2002 calling for the bridge to be built!
