Bexley residents pay higher Council Tax than neighbouring Bromley, Greenwich and Lewisham

Liberal Democrat campaigner Oliver Brooks has pledged to fight for value for money for local residents if he is elected to Bexley Council in the local by-election on Thursday, 3rd July.

Oliver says: "Council Tax is a huge burden on local residents, and they expect their hard earned money not to be wasted.

"Bexley residents pay higher Council Tax than neighbouring Bromley, Greenwich and Lewisham.

"Local residents want to see the council delivering essential services well - collecting bins, caring for the elderly, keeping streets clean, repairing dangerous pavements, looking after roads and providing quality education for local children.

"But they want to see these services provided without squandering their money, especially on perks for councillors.

"I will speak up for local residents to make sure they get real value for money."
